Quant Data Feed
Our quantative data feed typically comes in two formats and ensures customers have completely up-to-date databases. The quantative data feed contains all our typical transaction fields from amounts traded to post-trade holdings, with director information and company information. We also add fields to help clients analysing the data and allowing clients to cut the data to their taste, from four ICB sector levels to descriptive Transaction Types.
The feeds are available in both real-time and end-of-day formats, and generally delivered by File Transfer Protocol (FTP), although we are always flexible in delivery. Our in-house development team can aid clients in setting up and maintaining these products, as well as customising them to each individuals needs. They have a lot of experience with databases of all types and are always happy to help.
Full details on any of these services can be obtained by contacting our sales team.
Data file format
Tab delimited text files (ttx) are our most popular file delivery system, although the same data is available in all other generic data types such as csv, or txt. These files contains over 70 different data fields, a full specification of which is available on request.
This includes details on the transaction, company, director, announcement and holdings, these are all designed to help with the analysis of data, with directors deals identifiers to help with mapping of companies and transaction across multiple countries.
The data file is available typically at the end of the day and generally placed on our FTP and backup FTP so clients can always access their files.
Push/XML format
This is our most advanced service, and our newest technology. It allows clients keep up-to-date in real time, or as close to it as possible.
When new transactions and updates to historic transactions are inserted into the database they are pushed using XML files to our clients. This ensures that as soon as we know about a trade, so do our clients.
